An added abuse of prescription oxycodone is passed on to chronic pain sufferers who have experienced marked relief from the drug. Once OxyContin enters the body; it works by stimulating certain opioid receptors that are located throughout the central nervous system, in the brain and along the spinal cord.

if you know what to look for. Here are some key elements to watch for when trying
to identify a pill as OxyContin.

Identification of a 80mg OxyContin pill
- small white pill
- the number 10 is stamped on one side and OC is stamped on the other
- small pink pill
- the number 20 is stamped on one side and OC is stamped on the other
- small orange/yellow pill
- the number 40 is stamped on one side and OC is stamped on the other
- small "army" green pill, it is slightly larger than the other milligram strengths of OxyContin
- the number 80 is stamped on one side and OC is stamped on the other
